Roadside beauties

Deer aren’t known as the brightest crayons in the box, but they are delightful. Especially when they’re slightly confused about the presence of a car. Normally this is a big danger for both us and them, but when you creep along close to them, they just stop and stare back at you.

I just love the color change in the fall – they get so dark and gray. No wonder the most car deer strikes happen in November. And take a look at how thick and lovely her fur is! Both of these deer were very relaxed and unconcerned about me. I even had time to change lenses. Made me wonder if anyone in the neighborhood feeds them. Not a good thing, but people still do it.

I caught these two beauties while out cruising for abandoned stuff. Just a bonus!
